Terms of Service

These Terms set out the conditions for using Lazling (the "Service") and the rights and obligations of users and the Service.
1. Effect and changes to these Terms
- These Terms take effect when posted within the Service.
- The Service may amend these Terms where necessary, within the limits of applicable law, and will announce any change on this page.
- For changes unfavourable to users, notice will be given at least 30 days before the effective date. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the Service by deleting your account.
2. Accounts
- Accounts can be created only through Kakao, Google or Apple sign-in; the Service does not store a separate password.
- An account may be used only by its owner and may not be transferred or lent to anyone else.
- The Service is not available to children under the age of 14.
- You may delete your account and all learning data at any time under [My page] > [Account] > [Delete account].
3. What the Service provides
The Service provides the following features to support language learning.
- Reading and listening content matched to your level and interests
- Saving words and reviewing them through example sentences
- Diary writing with AI feedback, and sentence-writing feedback
- Study records, streak tracking and study reminders
4. Notice regarding AI-generated content
- Learning content, translation grading, diary feedback and sentence feedback are generated by AI models.
- AI-generated content may be factually incorrect or grammatically inaccurate. It is provided as a learning aid, and the Service does not guarantee its accuracy.
- Please do not rely on it for decisions where accuracy matters, such as examinations, professional work, medical or legal matters.
- If you find an error, please use the in-app error report so we can improve it.
5. Rights in content you create
- You retain copyright in the diary entries, translations and sentences you write.
- The Service processes them only to the extent necessary to provide its features (generating feedback, storing, syncing and backing up across devices), in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- The Service does not use your writing for advertising or promotion, and does not disclose it publicly.
- When you delete your account, this content is deleted with it.
6. Your obligations
You must not do any of the following.
- Use someone else's account, or enter another person's personal information
- Call the Service excessively by automated means, or interfere with its normal operation
- Collect or copy the Service's content without permission and redistribute it or use it commercially
- Submit content that violates the law or infringes the rights of others
7. Changes to and suspension of the Service
- The Service may change, add to, or discontinue all or part of its features.
- Provision of the Service may be temporarily suspended due to maintenance, faults or events beyond our control; where foreseeable, we will give notice in advance.
- If the Service is discontinued entirely, we will give at least 30 days' notice and allow a period in which you can review your learning data.
8. Restriction of use
If you breach Section 6 or applicable law, the Service may restrict your use or terminate your account after prior notice. In urgent cases, notice may be given after the action is taken.
9. Paid service (subscription)
- Some features may be offered through a paid subscription. The content, price and period of a subscription are shown on the purchase screen.
- Payment, cancellation and refunds follow the policies and procedures of the store where you installed the app (Google Play or the App Store). The Service does not store or process payment methods directly.
- Unless cancelled, a subscription renews automatically at the end of its period. You can cancel from the subscription management screen of the relevant store; after cancelling you may continue to use the subscription until the period you have already paid for ends.
- Refund conditions and procedures are governed by each store's policy and applicable law.
10. Limitation of liability
- For features provided free of charge, the Service is not liable except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
- The Service does not guarantee any learning outcome or examination result obtained through it.
- The Service is not responsible for problems arising from matters outside its control, such as your device or browser environment or network faults.
- The Service backs up learning data to its servers, but does not guarantee recovery if you delete data on your device or clear your browser storage.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute between the Service and a user shall first be resolved through mutual discussion; if no agreement is reached, an action may be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

This is a translation of the Korean-language Terms of Service provided for your convenience. In the event of any discrepancy in interpretation, the Korean version shall prevail.
